Greek studio KLab Architecture created this pharmacy in Athens by wrapping around facade punctured by Braille lettering over the existing octagonal building. The 600 sqm structure houses a pharmacy on the ground floor and ancillary office space on the upper mezzanine. Lined with windows and perforations, the building is flooded with 360 degrees of natural light.
Featuring a white facade perforated with Braille, the pharmacy holds an individual identity that serves as an attractive and memorable visual marker in the city. The pharmacy is arranged in plan in a radial pattern with the main cashier’s desk acting as the focal point. The metal panels are painted white, filtering and reflecting light to illuminate the interior. Check out the photos below:
