New York City parks officials have recently unveiled designs for the third and final section of the High Line. The new section extends the park from West 30th Street to West 34th Street, and connects it to the Hudson Yards project planned there. Friends of the High Line estimate the total cost of the project at $90 million, with about a third of that coming from the Related Companies.
Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2013 with a full public opening scheduled for the spring of 2014. The images show some familiar design aspects, the wooden lounge chairs, peel-up benches, stadium-like seating as well as some new features. Take a look!
