The Osros floating island has changed the way luxury lovers will think about nautical endeavors forever. Designed by an Austrian company the Osros, the floating island boasts six luxury double bedrooms, with space for 12 residents and four staff members, all for a cool £3million.
The manufacturers describe the island as an “autonomous power supply based energy system” powered by a noiseless wind energy system. Heat recovery from the sea water is used for heating and air conditioning, as well as more than 120 m2 of solar panels making the most use of daylight. The interiors are simply amazing providing guests with luxury dining areas and the latest swank in terms of clever and versatile solutions for modern living. The Austrian company initially start construction of the prototype in Germany and Hungary and aim to show it to the public by the end of 2013.
